The station consists of a land facility for experimental studies of fish and shellfish, and a fish health laboratory for the study of fish diseases, and also a new full-scale sea hatchery for studies of fish and shellfish under natural conditions.
This combination of facilities together represent a unique offer for research within all life stages of the species held at the station.
The station also has a joint technical division which supports the research divisions. Technical division also secures the operation of the station, performs reconstructions and trial set-ups, and maintain the technical equipment.
