Facts about Mona E. Pedersen

Post doc in the NRC- financed project ”skeletal maleformation in salmon and cod”. The aim of the project is to study the role of extracellular matrix in relation to skeletal development and mineralization in salmon.

I have been working with connective tissue components in relation to textural properties of skeletal muscle, and also skeletal development in mammals. Connective tissue components as proteoglycans, collagens and glycosaminoglycans regulate growth and development of tissues.
