I am working with salmonid viral diseases such as ISA, IPN, CMS and PD with focus on understanding host responses and pathogenesis by the use of functional genomics methods such as microarrays and quantitative real-time PCR. Other interests are impacts of vaccines, nutrition, stress and environment on fish health and immunology. I have a Cand. Scient. degree in molecular biology from the University of Life Sciences, Norway, a PhD in fish immunology from School of Pharmacy, University of Oslo, and currently a postdoctoral position within fish diseases and functional genomics.
