Difference testing

Difference testing tells us whether there are sensory differences between two or more products.

Difference tests are very suitable if one already knows that there is little difference between products. The aim of such testing is usually that the assessors should single out one or more samples that are distinct from the others for a sensory reason. Our difference testing can be used for:

  • Product development
  • Changes in production conditions and profiles
  • Optimising formulae/ingredients
  • Storage trials
  • Benchmarking - comparing own product with the competitor's product
