I work as a researcher in the field of Seafood – process and product development. More specific I am involved in industry related projects were contact with the fish produces and equipment suppliers are of vital importance.
I have a PhD degree in physics from 1996 at the University of Tromsø, and since then I have been employed at Fiskeriforskning an now at Nofima . I work with developing rapid methodologies for determining the quality of seafood and seafood products. This includes both development of measurements techniques, instrumentation and software development. Mainly I have worked with X-ray imaging, spectroscopy and imaging spectroscopy applied for detection of quality defects, determining quality parameters and so on.
