Nofima Marin works with extracts and components from marine sources with a view to applications in biomedicine and health foods.
The institute has, through the national marine biobank (Marbank), access to a multitude of marine material for further research and development. This work takes place in state-of-the-art laboratories with access to advanced scientific equipment.
There is extensive collaboration with industry and the university and university college sector.
