To face challenges in adding more value to limited, but sustainable, catch quotas, we apply a perspective that integrates knowledge from biology and product markets.
The proposed approach is rooted in major theoretical shortcomings concerning harvest strategy advices, i.e. when to catch, what to catch, how to catch and what to produce, aimed to add value to wild fish resources within a sustainable fishery.
Within the perspective we also include new possibilities emerging from technological breakthroughs in catching and storing wild fish alive.
