Main project
I started as Ph.D. student at NOFIMA FOOD in August 2007. I am working in the packaging research group and belong to the department of food safety and quality. My main project will be focus on packaging and fluorescence spectroscopy area.
I am interested to study in the effect of light induce photooxidation in dairy product. Then, packaging material can be optimized tailored light barrier properties to reduce photo oxidation. The formation of oxidation compounds and the degradation of photosensitizers are measured by fluorescence spectroscopy technique.
I am also measuring oxidation compounds that occurred after light exposure by using gas chromatography mass spectrometer (GCMS).
In addition to my project, I would like to develop light barrier properties in plastic packaging by using nanotechnology/ nano particles. The nano clays material combined with other techniques will be used for improving light barrier properties.
