In this project, our main objective is to determine which brain areas are involved in the detection of noxious stimuli, thus specifically targeting the most central elements of the current scientific debate on pain in fish.
This will be achieved through an interdisciplinary approach, combining methodology such as neurophysiology and magnetic resonance imaging (MEMRI and fMRI).
The project involves partners from nine different institutions in Norway, Great Britain and Belgium.
